Lets talk about practice: Rebecca Howson

Experimental typography, Letterpress printing and traditional graphic design practice develops scholarly investigations in the inquiry of new knowledge to support PhD research. The reconstruction, reinvention and reimagining of historical practice and pedagogical techniques to interrogate the processes, are explored through experimental combinations of techniques in print. I develop new work for exhibition several times a year and this allows a constant dialogue in practice.

I attend an annual summit for Letterpress Workers in Milan, Italy. I work as part of a group of printers and typographers who complete collaborative practice, learning and teaching activities over a four-day period. It is a space where I am a practitioner and I take part, with exceptional typographers and printers, to ensure continual development in practice; to renew, review, reimagine, reinterpret.
